Are We So Gullible to Believe the Impossible?
A riddle a 6th grade classmate asked me was, “What phrase appears in print more than any other?” I thought about it for a bit and then confidently blurted out, “In God We Trust!” Of course! It is printed on American currency.
However, my friend corrected me and said, very confidently, “Close cover before striking.” You (the singular reader) don’t know that matchbooks were everywhere in the 1970s--restaurants, convenience stores, shops, gas stations, every place where there was a check-out, and that phrase was printed on every matchbook. I remember being surprised…could it be that there are more matchbooks printed than US currency?
A novel and unique juxtaposition, like matchbooks, is more interesting than normal and bland things like the money you carry around. So maybe “Close Cover Before Striking” is the most printed phrase? No, it’s not and never was. But I can see how that can “stick” in one’s mind and actually believe it.
And here is where the criminally incompetent and the just plain criminals try to get us to believe them and not our “lying eyes.” They take a phrase that is more “sticky” like “domestic terrorist” to slander peaceful citizens. Obviously, the cult members believe whatever their orange demi-god says, and if the lie is repeated enough, well, it might stick.
The blatant lies that cuck Miller and adulterer Noem tell in defense of their masked, cowardly occupying forces are impossible for me to fathom. Here’s the difference: Alex and Renee are patriots who love their fellow citizens and country and are willing to make sacrifices.
The ability to look beyond yourself, serve others, have compassion is something that sets Alex and Renee apart from horrible humans like Steven and Kristi. These selfish, self-righteous, powerful elites can never understand compassion, love, hope, and joy. But we understand that. And that is why we will win.
